Job Title: Specifications Technologist

Role SummaryAs a Specifications Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and safety of our product specifications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage documentation, and contribute to the successful launch of new products.ResponsibilitiesProduct Specifications Creation and Review:
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to create and review detailed product specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy in ingredient lists, allergen information, nutritional data, and packaging details.
Packaging and Labeling Compliance:
  • Thoroughly review packaging artwork and labeling to meet legal requirements.
  • Verify that all product labels adhere to industry standards and provide clear information to consumers.
Supplier Coordination:
  • Collaborate with suppliers to verify raw material specifications.
  • Ensure consistency in quality attributes across our product range.
Artwork Management:
  • Oversee the artwork approval process, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory norms.
  • Maintain an organized system for managing packaging artwork files.
Technical Expertise:
  • Stay informed about food safety regulations, labeling laws, and industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners.
Project Management:
  • Lead specifications projects related to new product launches, reformulations, and line extensions.
  • Meet project deadlines and communicate progress effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Food Technologist or Specifications Technologist in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using specifications management software and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food labeling regulations (e.g., EU regulations) is essential.
