
Unit Manager Radiographer

- To prioritise the safety of patients and staff.
- Management of an engaged and motivated team; effectively utilising internal resources and supports including induction, buddy system, performance management, delegation, career development, one-to-ones and training.
- Provide a high-quality service, ensuring the highest standard of care for patients, staff & customers
- Effectively manage the department, the workload, staff and patient care.
- Manage rostering, training, absence management, annual leave and all HR related issues on site.
- Manage absenteeism of team ensuring the levels are in line with Company average.
- Contribute to managing turnover on site keeping in line with Company turnover rates.
- Review of skill mix and maximise staff rotation across the sites.
- Recruitment of new staff for sites.
- Perform bi-annual performance management with the staff & manage employees during probation & complete probation/onboarding training plans.
- Ensure all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities & are trained in all aspects and duties required to ensure resilience during periods of staff leave.
- Set clear objectives & organise weekly and month staff meetings, compile minutes and agendas.
- Develop staff to work effectively with minimal but appropriate supervision.
- Full involvement in the completion of all Accreditation requirements & the audit programme.
- Be fully familiar and follow Radiation and MRI Safety guidelines where applicable.
- Maintain strong business awareness regarding budget, targets and costs.
- Develop and maintain close liaison with Business Development.
- Play a role in developing the business.
- Maintain highest Health & Safety standards in line with current H&S Codes and Policies
- Carry out other work and duties as workload requires
- Act as line manager for all staff within the unit.

- Effective delegation: of appropriate tasks to ensure seamless management of the Unit

- Active CORU Registration
- Ability to lead & guide a team.
- Recognised Post Grad Qualification in MRI/CT/PET or
- 6 years + experience in MRI/CT/PET experience in a large hospital setting
- Commitment and understanding the importance of quality and safety.
- Demonstrate experience of working with a team of Radiographers.
- Bachelor of Science (Radiography) or equivalent.
