Our client, a leading manufacturing and construction company, is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across their operations.This is a hands-on role requiring strong site presence, working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance, promote a positive safety culture, and support safe systems of work across manufacturing and construction activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Provide professional HSE guidance to management, site teams, and HSE committees
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, producing reports and tracking corrective actions
  • Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
  • Support environmental management practices, including waste management and environmental impact awareness
  • Lead and support incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
  • Assist with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits and compliance
  • Identify HSE training needs and support the delivery of safety training across teams
  • Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure safe operational planning
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage operational teams
  • Proactive, practical approach to risk management and safety improvement
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience implementing HSE systems in operational environments
  • Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Experience with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 audits
  • Experience in precast concrete, manufacturing, or heavy industry
