Working as part of a team in a fast paced environment, this position involves helping the main kitchen worker in preparing meals and ensuring the kitchen remains up to suitable hygiene standards fit for food preparation. Responsibilities: To work alongside the main kitchen worker in ensuring that kitchen and any necessary cleaning duties are completed; To assist the preparation of snacks and meals daily; To store away food deliveries, ensure food is correctly labelled and correct rotation of date codes and maintaining 'first in first out' principle; To ensure appropriate paperwork is kept up to date and complete in the kitchen; To assist the completion of the weekly shopping list to ensure there is adequate food supplies for the following week; To comply with policies & procedures of the center; To comply with food hygiene and health & safety standards; Participate in HACCP food handling training whilst on CE.
