The successful candidate will support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems across the site, ensuring adherence to GMP standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance & Operations- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment calibrations, validations, and changeovers.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed in line with GMP and ALCOA+ principles.Compliance & Documentation- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
- Complete documentation (e.g., CMMS, logbooks, work orders) to required standards.
- Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical input and documentation as needed.Team Collaboration- Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical technicians, operations, and quality.
- Participate in daily shift handovers and weekly team meetings.
- Support training and mentoring of junior technicians where applicable.Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities for equipment reliability improvements and cost savings.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Support implementation of site-wide capability frameworks and upskilling initiatives.Qualifications & Experience:- Recognized Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6 or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role within a GMP/pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and GMP documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment.Desirable Skills:- Experience with cleanroom environments and aseptic processes.
- Knowledge of EHS standards and participation in safety audits.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
