
Assistant Supervisor - Utilities

- Required to have 7+ years' experience in utilities management and at least 5 years' experience carrying out utilities management activities across the project lifecycle through to completion in high value road and / or infrastructure projects or projects of a similar scale and complexity to CBCIW.
- Further demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following is desirable:
- Delivering engineering solutions and results in dynamic urban environments;
- Coordinating of utilities and other third party works on construction projects;
- Managing ducting infrastructure, including coordination of proofing and repair projects;
- Managing reinstatements of third-party works (e.g. underground telecoms roadworks in national roads);
- Inspecting third-party roadworks;
- Supervising contractors' performance to ensure works are undertaken in compliance with contract specifications and all other contractual requirements;
- Interface management with third parties;
- Recording the quality of the contractors' works, including issuing non- conformance notices;
- Driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies and standards;
- In-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural, engineering or construction sectors;
- Safety processes and requirements of designing and constructing road projects in a live urban environment;
- Dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of processes and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting; and
- Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
- Required to have a bachelor's degree in a construction related discipline
- Safepass accreditation is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple technical requirements and teams within a construction environment;
- Fully proficient in the use of MS Office applications and other project tools and methodologies;
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to create a collaborative culture across the project team;
- Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service delivery;
- Ability to deal with and resolve unforeseen risks and issues;
