Our client, a well established food production company based in South Tipperary, is seeking an EHS Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.Reporting to the Site General Manager, this role will lead Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across a busy production facility while supporting the continued development of a strong safety culture.Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and strengthen Health and Safety culture across the site
  • Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation and industry standards
  • Conduct internal audits and report findings to site management
  • Carry out and update risk assessments and develop safe systems of work
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Maintain the site Emergency Plan and ensure procedures are understood by staff
  • Lead external Health and Safety and Environmental audits and inspections
  • Organise employee inductions and training while maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain Environmental and Energy Management Systems including ISO 50001
  • Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental licence requirements
Requirements
  • Health and Safety and Environmental qualification with relevant industry experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production or industrial environments desirable
  • Strong IT and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational ability
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
