General Operative

• Empty Non hazardous bins
• Empty Hazardous waste bins
• Filling and use of the general waste compactor
• Filling and use of the Dry Mixed Recyclable compactor
• Baling of cardboard, plastic and paper waste streams
• Filling, packing and labelling of hazardous waste streams into pre-approved containers and receptacles
• Loading and unloading containers by use of Forklift
• Other paperwork and admin duties
• Decanting of hazardous waste streams on site
• Ordering of consumables
• Liaise with waste management vendors
• Comply with safety procedures and instructions in order to ensure a safe workplace for all.
• Assist in building maintenance tasks when required, to support holiday cover sickness etc
• Ad hoc duties as required

• Excellent Work Record
• Previous experience in similar role advantageous
• Flexible approach to working as part of a team.
• Forklift training a distinct advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation
