Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Director of Nursing to join a reputable residential care facility based in North Dublin.This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to lead a well-supported care team and take ownership of clinical governance and operational excellence.This role will suit an experienced nurse leader with strong management skills, a passion for quality care, and a clear understanding of HIQA standards.You will be supported by centralised teams in HR, finance, and quality.Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the residential care facility
- Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIQA standards
- Mentor and support clinical and non-clinical staff, promoting a high-performing, team-based culture
- Monitor care plans and resident outcomes, ensuring best practice in person-centred care
- Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders as needed
- Collaborate with the support office in areas including HR, finance, and quality assurance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in clinical care and resident satisfaction
- NMBI Registered General Nurse (PIN must be active and in good standing)
- Minimum 3 years' management experience within the last 6 years in older person care
- A recognised management qualification in healthcare or related field
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulations and best practice in elderly care
- A proactive, compassionate, and resident-focused approach
