
Financial Reporting Assistant Manager/Manager - FAAS (Cork/Dublin)

- Prepare, review, and finalise of financial statements in financial services/asset management industry;
- Manage end-to-end statutory and regulatory reporting processes;
- Resolve complex GAAP/regulatory queries;
- Build strong relationships with client representatives;
- Liaise with investment managers, fund accounting team, and auditors;
- Assist/ lead team supervision, performance management, staff development and training;
- Drive system enhancements and reporting efficiency; and
- Promote FAAS both internally and externally.
- Strong experience and knowledge in financial services/asset management industry either directly or through practice;
- Experience in a variety of funds types / structures such as mutual funds, UCITs, ICAVs, Private equity, REITs, SPVs an advantage;
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification;
- 3-5+ years PQE practical experience of auditing or preparing financial statements
- Proficient accountant, with strong knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP and some knowledge of Irish GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP;
- Strong understanding of accounting and regulatory requirements related to funds;
- Strong computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft office;
- ERP system experience such as Geneva, Investran, Oracle, SAP, Workday – desirable;
- Excellent attention to detail and resolves issues as they arise;
- Strong communicator, highly articulate with good report writing and excel skills;
- Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of industry developments;
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
- Strong project management skills;
- Energy, enthusiasm and passion for a new challenge.
