- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients using appropriate outcome measures and clinical reasoning
- Develop and implement individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans based on patient-specific goals
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions including: Mobilisation and rehabilitation post-surgery, Neurological rehabilitation and functional and strength-based rehab for frailty, deconditioning, or long-term conditions
- Independently manage a varied caseload across acute medical, surgical, orthopaedics, neurology, ICU, or care of the elderly
- Prioritise patients effectively based on clinical urgency and ward demands
- Participate in rapid discharge pathways, early supported discharge, and weekend planning
- Actively participate in daily ward rounds, MDT case reviews, and discharge planning meetings
- Collaborate with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and discharge coordinators to ensure safe and timely discharges
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about goals, progress, and post-discharge care

- BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Current CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
- A minimum of 6 months inpatient experience within an Irish hospital setting (or a similar acute hospital abroad with transferable experience)
- Confidence managing a varied caseload of acute adult patients
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based approach
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills.
- Strong documentation and clinical reasoning abilities.
- Willingness to participate in weekend/bank holiday rotas.
