The Caretaker/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the property grounds and facilities. This role ensures that outdoor areas, buildings, and amenities are well cared for, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Grounds Maintenance Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas Prune shrubs, trees, and plants; remove weeds and debris Water and fertilize lawns and plants as needed Rake leaves, clear branches, and maintain walkways and pathways Maintain outdoor structures such as fences, signage, benches, and gates Property Care & Cleaning Perform general cleaning of buildings, common areas, and facilities Empty trash and recycling bins and manage waste disposal Clean and restock restrooms and shared spaces Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds Maintenance & Repairs Conduct minor repairs such as fixing fixtures, patching small holes, or replacing light bulbs Report major maintenance problems to supervisors Assist with seasonal tasks: snow removal, leaf cleanup, irrigation adjustments Equipment & Safety Safely operate and maintain tools and machinery (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) Follow all safety procedures and report hazards Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment Customer Service Provide friendly assistance to visitors, tenants, or park users Respond to inquiries or concerns professionally
