The RoleSofina Foods is seeking an experienced and passionate HR Manager to join our Castleblayney site leadership team and provide HR direction across both the factory and our network of butchery stores in Northern Ireland.This is more than a traditional HR role - it's a chance to shape culture, build capability, and strengthen the link between people and business performance.   • Experienced in HR leadership, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or multi-site retail.
  • Skilled across employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and learning & development.
  • Knowledgeable in employment law and compliance in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • A strong communicator and influencer - able to build credibility and trust at all levels.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative but confident working independently, with a proactive, people-first approach.
  • Passionate about creating positive workplace cultures that drive engagement and performance.

  • Act as a core member of the Castleblayney Site Leadership Team, providing HR expertise and strategic guidance across factory and retail operations.
  • Lead employee relations with confidence and fairness - managing grievance, disciplinary, and performance issues consistently.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning, ensuring we attract, retain, and develop great people.
  • Champion learning, development, and succession planning to build strong teams and future leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health & safety, and HR policies in both ROI and NI.
  • Partner with managers to deliver engagement, wellbeing, and cultural initiatives that make Sofina Foods a great place to work.
  • Provide insight through accurate HR reporting and data-led recommendations.
  • Work closely with central HR and Group teams to roll out corporate programmes and embed best practice.
