The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.Role SummaryWe are currently seeking to expand our community team by employing dynamic and enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurses to work as part of a service for children and adolescents with mental health challenges. Community Mental Health Nurses have a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based and integrated care. The purpose of this role is also to provide assessment and support to the individual and families through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery orientated interventions to support care in the community working towards a reduction in the need for acute hospitalisation.The service actively promotes multidisciplinary teamwork, continuing professional development and innovation in Community Mental Health Nursing. This includes Nurse prescribing and Advanced Nurse Practitioners roles for those people wishing to advance their education, responsibilities and skills.Minimum RequirementsI. Registered, or are eligible for registration, in the Psychiatric Nurses Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI]II. Have a minimum of 5 years post registrationIII. Have a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in CAMHS setting.IV. Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management related area.V. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.RemunerationSalary Grade 2301 Community Mental Health Nurse on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale€ 60,854 – 76,897 per annum pro rataInitial locationThe initial location of this role is Lucena Clinic, Bray and Lucena Clinic, Rathgar. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS’s other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
