We are working with a food production organisation in Louth are looking to hire a Health & Safety Officer to join their growing team. This role with promote drive and embed a positive health & safety culture with the business.Salary & Benefits:

Salary: €50,000

Responsibilities:

Review, develop and improve policies and procedures for Health & Safety in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices
Investigate all incident/accident and implement preventative and corrective actions
Carry out regular site safety inspection
Audit of all areas ensuring continuous improvement
Ensure all H&S policies and procedures are being implemented, taking measures to control and reduce risks
Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by ensuing compliance with legisla-tion
Provide advice & guidance and instruction in all H&S matters
Ensure the emergency response procedure are maintained and updates as required
Lead coach and develop out teams on &S policies procedures and risk assessments
Lead initiative to increase and develop best practice in Health & Safety
Reviewing all contractor documentation to ensure compliance

Skills:

Third Level qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline this is essential
2 years' experience in H&S with in food manufacturing would be and advantage
Strong in-depth knowledge of Health & safety legislation, regulations and standards
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement
Excellent written, verbal and communication skill
Strong IT skills
Experience handling of Health & safety investigation
