From motorways to tramways, nuclear power plants to smart cities, clients choose us to help them solve their most complex challenges - delivering climate-responsible growth that meets the needs of communities, industry and the planet.As a Quantity Surveyor, the applicant will require knowledge and experience in pre and post contract management and procurement within commercial contract management in the rail and infrastructure sector.You will be expected to utilise experience and knowledge of supplier relationships and contract management to drive efficiencies in the supply chain. Working as part of projects and programmes to deliver the strategic aims of their designated portfolios.This role can be based remotely with travel to our Dublin office biweekly, expected to be two days per fortnight, but the candidate will need to be flexible to the project needs.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities are anticipated as, but not limited to the following;

Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated
projects and portfolio of works.
Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and
corporate governance rules.
Lead on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.
Provide proactive advice and guidance on all change including proposed scope changes.
Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms.
Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.
Manage the final account settlements.
Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.

Qualifications

Ideally you will be Educated to a degree standard in a related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status.
Knowledge and experience of NEC 3 and/or NEC 4 contracts.
Experience of working in the Rail sector is preferable. Also working in a similar role with Consultancies, Clients or main contractors delivering Civils, M&E, and Railway infrastructure projects will also be considered.
Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role.
Good communication skills.
