Drimnagh Castle is a medieval castle in the heart of Drimnagh. We require someone to carry out to a high standard the duties of a Functions Organisor/Tour Guide. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following though other duties may be assigned. To oversee all aspects of hospitality and events at the castle. Develop and manage functions. Liaise with hospitality, events staff, outside contractors and castle staff to ensure the smooth running of events. Market the castle. The successful candidate will be expected to attend all functions and events. Some evening and weekend work may apply. Tour Guiding duties include the following, this a customer focused position: To impart historical knowledge, distribute brochures and convey information to visitors by the means of conducting guided tours. To monitor visitors activities in order to ensure compliance with safety practices. Perform clerical duties such as filing, operating phones and the delivery/ collection of mail and email messages. Some evening and weekend work may apply.
