- Generate comprehensive cost estimates for M&E projects based on detailed specifications and engineering drawings.
- Conduct value engineering studies to identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including Bills of Quantities and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor project costs and ensure adherence to established budgets.
- Analyze subcontractor quotes and evaluate proposals to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Provide guidance on contract negotiations and assist with procurement strategies for M&E works.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and validate cost assumptions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations affecting M&E construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Estimator, specifically with M&E projects.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, installation practices, and relevant standards.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in cost estimation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is an advantage but not required.
