Founded in 2001 and part of the Irish Times Group.The RoleWe are looking for a mid-level Backend (.NET) Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the .NET/.NET Core framework and C#.The role will involve working as part of the MyHome.ie development team building new products, maintaining existing products, and working on the existing MyHome.ie platform to enhance the user experience for our clients & users. You will be working closely with the Technical Lead and Senior Developers in building new products and maintaining the current feature set within the MyHome.ie ecosystem.Key Responsibilities
  • Developing backend code to a high standard and leading by example across the team
  • Working both on your own initiative and within a dynamic team structure
  • Learning innovative technologies and adapting to changing design frameworks and principles Performance tuning applications.
  • Suggesting improvements to current implementations, and working with the Technical Team lead and lead developer to implement them.
  • Project work with MyHome.ie and across the Irish Times Group.
Skills & Experience must include but not be limited to:
  • 3+ years software development experience
  • Experience with C# .NET in a microservices architecture
  • Experience delivering software that has been unit and integration tested
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with large scale, high traffic volume websites
  • Experience using cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Experience with Kubernetes & Docker is beneficial
  • Elastic search, SQL Server and Redis experience is a plus
  • OOP, OOD principles, LINQ and multi-threading
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience working with Jira or other ticketing system
  • Git or other source code control
  • Experience working with Continuous integration and deployment pipelines
