Medical Ward

Endoscopy

Neurosurgery & Orthopaedics (Theatre/Ward)

Day Surgery (All Disciplines)

DOSA

Surgical Ward

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the nursing practice of junior staff while contributing to their ongoing education and development

Recognise and respond to the diverse needs of emergency, medical, and surgical patients, delivering holistic care to patients and their families

Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient records in accordance with NMBI guidelines

Ensure the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of unit resources, materials, and equipment

Requirements

Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

Minimum of two years’ recent and relevant post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centred care

Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong initiative

Quality-focused, with a good understanding of risk management and associated procedures
