Wicklow.Contract Type: Permanent PostContract Hours: Part time Post, 35 hours per weekSalary Scale: €38,107 – €50,953 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.Annual Leave Entitlement: 31 days pro rata per annumOverview of the Post:The post holder will work as part of our dedicated Adult Day Services team, providing social care support to adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities, or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. The post holder will support Service Owners with their needs, goals and activities in accordance with their individual preferences.Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:Please see Job Description for full list of duties.The successful candidate will have:Essential Criteria:1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.

Eligible applicants will be those who, on the closing date for the competition:
Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. See list of recognised Social Care qualifications at:

Have a Schedule 3 qualification. See list of recognised Schedule 3 qualifications at:

Have a comparable qualification recognised by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by 30th November 2025.OR

Provide proof of statutory registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

AND

Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the role.

2. Annual Registration

On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

AND

Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
Experience of delivering personal care.
Experience of assisting adults with medical needs/administering medication.
Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
Eligible to work in the State.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of working with adults and families with physical/sensory /intellectual disabilities.
Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the role.
Possess a full, clean driving licence.
