Monaghan is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced feed mill environment.This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring all plant and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. It will suit a practical, solutions-focused professional who enjoys being on the floor, working directly with equipment, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement — not someone who prefers to manage purely from a desk.You will take full ownership of plant reliability, maintenance strategy, team performance, and site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.What’s on Offer

- Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimise cost, downtime, and disruption to production
- Lead, support, and manage a small maintenance team
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns efficiently
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance
- Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and service providers
- Oversee procurement of parts and machinery, balancing cost and quality
- Manage stock control of spare parts and critical components
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations
- Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working directly with machinery
- Logical and structured approach to diagnosing faults and identifying system weaknesses
- Methodical in planning preventative and reactive maintenance
- Practical, resourceful problem solver who takes initiative
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on preventing recurring issues
- Experience organising and prioritising maintenance workloads
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with contractors
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
