Cpl Healthcare in collaboration with the Government of Jersey are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Head of Occupational Therapy to work in their busy team in Jersey IslandThe role will include :
  • Operationally and clinically managing Occupational Therapy (OT) Services, deputising for the Head of Service as required and co-ordinating policies and procedures relating to Clinical Governance and standards of care.
  • Support the Head of Occupational Therapy in leading and advising on Occupational Therapy & Rehabilitation provision throughout the Government of Jersey.
  • Lead, develop and provide a specialist Occupational Therapy service for specified client groups and provide a professional resource for other disciplines so that the contribution of Occupational Therapy can be integrated within the total service provision.
Essential Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Postgraduate management qualification at Level 5 or equivalent practical management experience, including supervision, recruitment, and selection of staff.
  • Professional portfolio demonstrating CPD.
  • Current registration with the Health & Care Professions Council
  • Permission to work and live in Ireland and the UK
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Occupational Therapy models of practice and treatment approaches.
  • Understanding of Health & Social Care legislation and current practice.
  • Awareness of the roles of other services and their interface with Occupational Therapy.
  • Detailed knowledge of clinical governance principles and their application.
  • Familiarity with Health Service development plans and service innovations.
  • Experience in training and providing clinical supervision.
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment, treatment modalities, and adaptations.
  • Ability to disseminate information effectively and engage with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in information technology, including the effective use of IT equipment and role-critical software.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex situations requiring analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with advanced negotiation skills.
