- Provide strong leadership, clinical supervision, and day-to-day guidance to nursing and care teams.
- Support the PIC in the overall management and operation of the nursing home.
- Promote and uphold a culture of person-centred care, ensuring residents’ dignity, choice, and independence are respected at all times.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Support safeguarding practices, ensuring all residents are protected and concerns are appropriately managed and reported.
- Contribute to the delivery of holistic care, addressing residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
- Act as a clinical role model, supporting staff development, training, and continuous improvement.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
- Third-level nursing degree and active NMBI registration with PIN.
- Minimum 6 years post-registration nursing experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a nursing home setting.
- Management experience is desirable.
- Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (or willingness to undertake).
- Demonstrated clinical competency and passion for high-quality elder care.
