Intellectual Disability Nurse- Cork

• Conducting comprehensive health assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Providing support with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
• Monitoring and managing the physical and mental health needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
• Advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Providing education and training to individuals, families, and caregivers on health management and wellness strategies.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

• Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with NMBI
• Specialized training or experience in intellectual disability nursing is preferred.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
