About the RoleHuawei Ireland Research Centre (IRC) mission is to position Huawei as a recognized technology leader and a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions. To achieve this we are building an industry-recognized multi-discipline Research Centre of experts with focus on medium-term to long-term issues. The IRC will work closely with an open innovative ecosystem with Huawei customers to address real-world issues. The IRC will also engage with key European universities to build a basic research capability to support Huawei technical projects.In this role, you will work as a researcher/research engineer in our UES (User Experience Service) and AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) team, which is conducting world-class and cutting edge research in the area of AI and data analytic for solving the most complex challenges in cloud services and user experience management that have not been possible before.Our team works closely with Consumer Business Group cloud service business unit. The team has a burning desire on intelligent automation, cost/performance and, experience optimization and achieved many technical breakthroughs over the past few years. Thus one of the main goal of this role is to leverage a wealth of operational data (metric, alarm, log, topology, text, feedbacks and API data) to intelligently automate many aspects of DevOps, service operations and experience optimization processes.Check out the Life at Huawei Ireland Research Centre:RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Apply AI and related optimization algorithms to investigate, develop and maintain scalable and efficient solutions to tackle business and research challenges in AIOps, user behavior analysis, public opinion analytic, etc.
  • Work independently and with the team to deliver research PoCs
  • Design and development system components to translate research into production trials to achieve business goals and impacts.
  • Publish research results and interact with research communities in the related fields
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, AI, etc.) or experience applying AI and/or data analysis techniques to solve real-world problems.
  • Good coding skills (e.g. Python, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud service management, user experience optimization or user behavior analysis is a great plus.
  • Chinese skill is a plus.
