Diego Takeaway, a busy and growing Italian takeaway and pizzeria located in Derrinturn, Co. Kildare, is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated chef who excels in preparing authentic Italian dishes, particularly pizzas and pastas, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, such as Curry, Grill including pizza, pasta, and traditional takeaway meals Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) Take responsibility for your section of the kitchen and assist others during peak times Support stock control, inventory checks, and daily prep Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when needed Candidate Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (Chef de Partie or equivalent) Strong skills in Italian cuisine, especially pizza-making and pasta dishes Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive with a positive attitude Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays What We Offer: Annual Salary: €34,000 gross Hourly Equivalent: Approx. €16.76/hour (based on 39 hours/week) Staff meals and employee discounts A supportive, friendly work environment Opportunities for long-term growth and career development Secure, full-time employment in a respected local business
