Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, the Used & STR Asset Director will lead the Used Truck & Short-Term Rental business streams, driving sustainable growth and profitability in line with overall business strategy and agreed budgets for the region and overall UK & IRL.
To deliver in the role effectively, the successful candidate will need to actively contribute towards the overall leadership of the business; engaging and supporting colleagues from other business streams, different Regions and Head Office to ensure the IRL delivers on it Targets.We offer:1. Proactively managing, steering and growing the business of ‘Short Term Rental’ by understanding the market, optimizing the sales funnel, managing the sales team activity (leading and lagging KPI’s), and ultimately delivering on annual targets for units and revenue2. Providing current, accurate forecasts to both the Regional Management Team and HQ.3. Working closely with the Sales Director and New/Used Truck Sales team to drive end-user UT sales through both ‘Territory’ and ‘Key Accounts’4. Working closely with the Financial Controller developing and implementing budgetary targets, financial controls and reports5. Owning and leading the quarterly & monthly regional ‘EoC Renewal Meeting’ in line with the company process6. Managing of regional stock and storage capacity, including achievement of Ready to Go targets (STR and End User UT). Participating as an active member of the Leadership Team (Working in conjunction with all regional Used & STR Asset Managers plus Head Office) to manage the national fleet; additions and disposal, fleet utilization, stock availability, peak planning, condition reporting and age profileTasks and Qualifications:8. Monitoring and reporting departmental performance and recommending/taking appropriate recovery actions where required9. Exercising commercial judgment, including the use and management of 3rd party suppliers (cross-hire)10. Establishing a culture of HSE throughout the business stream11. Establishing a positive, supportive and professional working culture within the business stream with a focus on continuous improvement and excellent customer service12. Managing and developing staff and team capability and performance; ensuring that appraisals are carried out and training & development needs identified and fulfilled13. Fulfilling a Leadership role in Asset / Rentals / Related annual improvement projects
