Food Production Line Leader – Box Room (Evening Shift) | Carnmore, Oranmore, Co. Galway | Full Time | €16.00–€18.50 per hourThis is an evening line leader role for someone who understands the importance of getting the basics right. If you’re detail-focused, organised, and comfortable leading a small team in a fast-moving food production environment, this is a role where your work really matters.You’ll be responsible for how products leave the factory at the end of the process — correctly boxed, clearly labelled, fully traceable, and ready to go. Working closely with cooking, slicing, and packing teams, you’ll play a key part in keeping the evening shift running smoothly and to standard.Our client is a long-established Irish food business with almost 100 years of heritage. Still proudly family owned across three generations, the business has grown from a local butcher into a nationwide producer, built on strong values around quality, customer service, and Irish sourcing. As cooked meats become a major focus heading into 2026, the box room plays a critical role in supporting that growth.Please note: as a Line Lead, you will start slightly before the 1:00 pm shift to prepare the line, so actual hours may exceed the standard 37 per week.What’s in it for you?

Are you the right person for the job?
  • Previous experience in a food production or food manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a box room or similar end-of-line operation
  • Experience leading or supervising a small team
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around labelling, dates, and traceability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
What will your role look like?
  • Arrive slightly before the official 1:00 pm shift start to prepare the box room for production
  • Leading box room operations on the evening shift
  • Ensuring correct boxing, labelling, dating, and traceability of all products
  • Coordinating with cooking, slicing, and packing teams to meet production plans
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance
  • Monitoring quality, presentation, product weights, and use-by dates
  • Training, supporting, and supervising box room operatives
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the box room
  • Managing stock rotation (FIFO) and the correct use of packaging materials
  • Identifying and reporting issues such as mislabelling, damaged product, or shortages
  • Supporting audits by ensuring procedures and documentation are followed
