- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Finalise annual accounts in preparation for audit
- Post and reconcile nominal ledger journals
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process (February each year)
- Prepare required documentation and liaise with external auditors
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Post payments and receipts to the cashbook
- Circulate daily bank receipts to sales representatives
- File aged debtor reconciliations with invoice discounting provider (Bank of Ireland)
- Process weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
- Submit payroll information to Revenue in compliance with Irish regulations
- Process mileage and travel expenses through payroll
- File Enhanced Reporting Submissions (ERS)
- Administer employee pension deductions via payroll
- Remit monthly contributions to pension providers
- Maintain and update employee pension records
- Ensure compliance with Auto Enrolment requirements and file returns
- Maintain records of annual leave, sick leave, and absences
- Handle ad hoc employee queries and administrative issues
- Manage company health insurance scheme (LAYA)
- Prepare and file Intrastat (arrivals & dispatches) and VIES returns monthly
- Complete and submit bi-monthly VAT returns, including postponed import VAT accounting
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare and submit REPAK returns
- Manage ongoing obligations relating to CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)
- Ensure all financial and regulatory deadlines are met
- Qualified Accountant / Newly qualified or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within construction or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of Irish payroll, VAT, and Revenue reporting requirements
- Experience using Sage Payroll (or similar systems)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
