Job DescriptionICT & ELV Design Engineer - (Dublin)Kppm are looking to recruit in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and extra low-voltage (ELV) systems Design Engineer for our client who are a leading multi award winning Mechanical & Electrical Consulting Engineers who work on: high-tech, commercial, healthcare, data centres, and education projects. You will be a key member of our Digital Services team.Responsibilities:· Design, and outline specifications and implementation of ICT and ELV systems· Work on ICT and ELV infrastructure, multi-media communication facilities and systems such as structured cabling system, networks, security systems, DAS, WiFi, and AV· Experience in conducting data acquisition and needs analysis· Coordinate ICT design at technical meetings with technical counterparts in other engineering disciplines· Ensure specifications, drawings and calculations meet industry, legal and quality standards· Facilitate peer and QA review of all documents and drawings· Effectively develop and present technical information presentations· Complete all projects to the company's Total Quality Management Process· Take technical ownership of design packagesEducation & Experience:· Suitable candidates must hold a 3rd level qualification in any of the following areas: electronic engineering, computer engineering, information engineering or related discipline engineering/technology qualification.· You must have 3+ years of experience working in the following sectors: high-tech, commercial, healthcare, data centres, and education.· Technical awareness (or design certifications) of: VoIP Solutions, IP Networks, IPTV, AV, DAS, WiFi, PMR· Understand EN/ISO/BS standards regulations/codes and relevant IT systems certification standards· Experience in CAD document handling and drawing production· Working knowledge and experience with BIM and drawing production· Project experience in ICT and ELV infrastructure design work in the built environment· Demonstrable CPD record in engineering/technology subjects· Good working knowledge of MS Office applications Word, Excel, and Microsoft Projects· Skilled communicator, through written, oral, and visual mediums· Driven working to tight deadlines, expressing problem-solving and prioritisation skillsDesirable:· Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCCD) Certification (knowledge in the design, implementation, integration, and project management of telecommunications)· Project Management qualification (knowledge in methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Lean, as well as proficiency in project planning tools and software).Excellent Benefits Package Including 9 x day fortnight free Fridays every second Friday as a perk + the following list of benefits:· Flexible working times.· Up to 25 days holidays.· Pension Scheme.· Travel tax scheme or bike-to-work scheme· Working travel out-of-pocket expenses· Subsidised Health Insurance Allowance· Healthcare check-ups and flu vaccinations· Gym / Fitness membership· Regular training/mentoring / further college support.· Support for Chartership.· A Professional Subscription Fee paid by the company.· Paid Statutory Leaves.· Heavily subsidised social committee.Salary Negotiable depending on experience.For Further information or to apply please call or email: Paul Sinnott at kppm on: 086 0438665 or Email: paul@kppm.ieor email
