
Procurement Officer

- Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services required for maintenance operations, including spare parts, consumables, tools, and contracted services.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing, and adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to forecast requirements and minimise downtime of plant and equipment.
- Develop and maintain an approved supplier list in line with company policy and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies or delays.
- Track procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, and lead times.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, Irish legislation, and EU procurement directives.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and reporting for maintenance-related expenditure.
- Participate in audits, supplier evaluations, and contract reviews.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in maintenance procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in maintenance, facilities, or engineering.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of Irish health & safety and procurement compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
