Role Overview:As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will deliver specialised Occupational Therapy services to children and young people (aged 0-18) with complex disabilities. The role is centred around family-focused care and collaborative practice, ensuring positive outcomes for both the child and their carers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver services in line with the goals and objectives of the CDNT and national guidelines for disability services.
  • Conduct assessments and provide interventions consistent with the principles of the Children's Disability Network Teams.
  • Support children with a range of complex needs in community settings.
  • Embrace interdisciplinary teamwork and a family-centred approach, in line with the Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People programme.
Candidate Requirements:
  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification).
  • CORU registration or eligibility to register.
  • A minimum of 1 year's post-qualification experience, ideally with a focus on paediatrics and supporting children with complex disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgement.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and leadership is an advantage.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
