If you are looking to deepen and develop your skills, knowledge, and experience throughout your career, then that is what you will get, and more.The RoleWe are recruiting a Head of PR with media relations experience to join our expanding Marketing & Communications Team.Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will work closely with Grant Thornton’s senior leaders and advise on and implement the firm's external communications strategy for our Advisory, Tax and Audit Service Lines and priority sectors.The ideal candidate will have a strong media relations background gained from journalism, a PR agency, or an in-house role. They will also have experience creating and implementing multifaceted communications strategies, with a strong understanding of the news agenda and a nose for a good story. An extensive network and relationships with relevant journalists are also essential for the role.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with internal stakeholders and spokespeople to develop innovative and impactful communication campaigns that build firm reputation.Design and execute communication campaigns centred on thought leadership, market developments, and market-led initiatives.Provide strategic advice on content and positioning, set campaign strategies, and develop fully integrated offline and online channel plans.Manage public relations agency relationships and oversee all related activities.Provide direction on message tone, format, timing, delivery channels, and target audience to optimise campaign effectiveness.Develop media contact programs for key spokespeople and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and media outlets.Identify potential research topics relevant to the firm's strategic priorities and support their development.Lead internal and external communication initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across various channels, including social media platforms.Define measurable campaign objectives, assess their impact, and report regularly to stakeholders.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field.At least eight years of solid media relations/communications experience, preferably at a senior level within a services/business-to-business environment, either in-house or at an agency.An extensive network of relevant journalists and industry contacts.Deep understanding of the professional services sector.Strong understanding of business and current affairs, with an interest in a wide range of industries.Proven track record of managing and delivering high-impact PR campaigns and handling challenging and complex technical matters and sensitive issues.Experience in analysing and interpreting complex data, reports, and surveys.Strong writing and analytical skills, with a proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects.Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Tenacious, hard-working, and resilient.Life at GTReward and benefits:Our reward and benefits are designed to create an environment where our people can flourish.
