- Manage all aspects of health and safety on site
- Develop and update safety, environment, and health procedures.
- Carry out EHS routine inspection and follow up on the findings.
- Facilitate emergency preparedness and response.
- Support the EHSMP (EHS management program) with EHS team. Participate in EHS routine meeting and update the status of EHSMP. Oversee the routine performance of all environmental activities.
- Carry out accident investigation and develop the investigation report, follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify and evaluate the environmental aspect and risk/hazard plant wide. Support in annually EHS management plan and follow up.
- Create Risk Assessment Method Statements.
- Ensure all Safety Statement Insurances are up to date and on file for all contractors.
- Identify applicable regulations and legislation and evaluate the compliance.
- Help to carry out the internal environmental audit regularly
- Support construction projects which may occur in the EHS and fire protection field.
- Undertake occupational health and environmental reporting where required
- Conduct EHS related training to employees. E.g., induction training
- Drive world class health and safety culture initiatives throughout all departments
- Keep close contact with the local authorities concerned.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Computer literate with intermediate / Advanced MS Office skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Qualification in Health and Safety or similar. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
- 1-2 years of experience in EHS
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction from senior management.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
- Good knowledge of health and safety principles in Ireland
- Experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs and working with local authority regulators and partners
