- Lead daily financial operations (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger) and ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Manage SAP modules, ensuring alignment with standards, and collaborate with teams to enhance reporting and automation.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, integrate financial data, and train teams on interpretation for data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and statutory reporting (VAT, tax filings, year-end accounts).
- Assist CFO with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc analyses, while tracking budget performance and cost control.
- Support financial modelling, cash flow management, and claims processes to optimise funding and meet obligations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, providing complete information and staying updated on tax and financial regulations.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and transaction processing.
- Hands-on experience in financial management within an SME environment.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions and solve problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear, effective communicator, able to explain financial concepts to non-finance staff.
- Strong collaborator, building relationships across teams.
- Committed to confidentiality, professional integrity, and ethical standards.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a financial accountant role in a Small to Medium sized business.
