Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Fresh Food Manager for our client’s retail store in Co. Cork. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh food, exceptional management skills, and a proven track record in a similar role.Salary: €45k – €50kResponsibilities:

Lead and motivate the fresh food team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets
Ensure all fresh food products are of the highest quality, beautifully presented, and meet the company’s standards
Oversee ordering, receiving, and managing inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimal waste
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
Train, mentor, and develop team members
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the fresh food department
Monitor and report on KPIs

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Fresh Food Manager, Deli Manager, or similar role in a high-volume retail environment
Strong leadership and people management skills with a passion for team development
Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
Proven ability to manage stock, costs, and margin while delivering a premium fresh food offering
A genuine passion for fresh food and a desire to deliver excellence and innovation
