Senior Infrastructure ArchitectWe are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect for this client to lead the design, migration and modernisation of enterprise Linux platforms across complex, highly regulated environments.This role requires a deep technical specialist in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with the ability to architect secure, scalable production systems while engaging directly with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine hands-on engineering capability with architecture leadership across hybrid-cloud and virtualised infrastructure estates.ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Linux Architecture

Lead large-scale migrations to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Design secure, hardened Linux server estates
Architect high-availability and resilient Linux-based platforms
Design Linux environments for web, middleware, database and application tiers
Deliver performance optimisation and remediation strategies

Linux Modernisation & Automation

Implement automation using Bash and Python
Develop infrastructure scripting for provisioning and scaling
Design containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
Lead adoption of infrastructure-as-code practices

Hybrid Cloud & Integration

Design landing zones and hybrid connectivity
Lead migrations from Windows to Linux estates
Integrate Linux systems with VMware and enterprise storage platforms
Deliver on prem & cloud-native Linux deployments (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.)

Desired Technical ExpertiseCore Linux

Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Security hardening and compliance alignment
Bash scripting and automation
Linux networking and storage configuration

Containers & Platforms

Docker
Kubernetes (enterprise deployments)
Red Hat container ecosystems
Hybrid and cloud container strategy

Cloud & Virtualisation

AWS architecture for Linux workloads
EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, Route53, VPC
VMware vSphere integration with Linux estates

Desired Experience

Experienced with enterprise infrastructure
Extensive experience delivering Linux transformations in production environments
Experience migrating enterprise workloads from Windows to Linux
Proven ability to own end-to-end architecture and delivery
