Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established commercial team based in their Galway office. The role will support live projects including a commercial and retail development in Limerick, a large upcoming hotel project in Galway City, and further pharmaceutical works planned.You will join a strong commercial department of 8+ professionals, operating across a mix of office-based, site-based, and hybrid working arrangements, with clear long-term progression available.Responsibilities
- Manage commercial delivery across live construction projects
- Procure subcontractors and administer subcontract agreements
- Prepare valuations, cost reports, and cashflow forecasts
- Manage variations, change control, and commercial records
- Support or lead final account preparation and agreement
- Liaise closely with site teams, consultants, and clients
- Monitor commercial risk, cost performance, and reporting accuracy
- Contribute to commercial strategy and project planning
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
- Experience operating at Intermediate or Senior QS level in Ireland/UK
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
- Experience administering RIAI, GCC, or bespoke contracts
- Background on medium to large-scale construction projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Irish or UK experience required
