Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join a well-established and busy bar & bistro located in North County Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking for a good work-life balance while working in a dynamic kitchen environment.The RoleAs Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role suits a confident and organised chef with previous experience in a similar position.Working Schedule (4 day working week approx. 45 hours per week)

Thursday & Friday: Evening service
Saturday & Sunday: Lunch and dinner service

Midweek: 11:00am – 9:30pm
Weekends: 9:30am – 9:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing all kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
Support menu development and daily specials
Lead and motivate the kitchen team
Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passion for fresh, quality food
HACCP knowledge essential
