Matrix Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for our manufacturing client in Wexford.You'll lead the design and delivery of advanced automation and packaging machinery, driving innovation and mentoring engineers from concept through FAT and SAT.Your New RoleKey Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design projects from concept to FAT/SAT.
  • Create and review CAD models, BOMs, and design documentation (SolidWorks/PDM).
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, CE, and safety standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive design improvements
What You Need:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years' mechanical design experience (5+ in automation/machinery).
  • Expertise in high-speed mechanisms, pneumatics, servo systems, cams, drives.
  • Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/PDM).
  • • Experience in pharma/medical automation, robotics, and vision/serialization systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP, CE marking, ISO safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel (~10%).
