- Provide education, mentorship, and professional development support to nursing and support staff.
- Supervise and support nurses, healthcare assistants, students, and administrative staff, ensuring a safe and effective working environment.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and coordinate holistic patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and maintain standards of nursing practice, addressing clinical concerns and ensuring continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, national clinical guidelines (e.g., Sepsis, INEWS), and regulatory standards (NMBI, HIQA, HSA, JCI).
- Liaise effectively with medical teams, patients, families, and other stakeholders to provide support, education, and clear communication.
- Oversee safe medication management, including storage, administration, and documentation in line with legal and professional requirements.
- Lead training initiatives, including staff induction, ongoing education, curriculum development, and identification of learning needs.
- Promote a positive work culture by fostering teamwork, staff morale, leadership, and effective conflict resolution.
- Participate in audits, incident management, accreditation processes, and continuous service improvement to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
