
Live Event Technician (Audio)

- Setup, configuration, operation and derig of audio equipment for events.
- Operation and mixing of audio equipment in high pressured show environments, whilst managing other audio crew members and liaising with production manager (A1 Role)
- Identifying faults, solving technical problems and on-site repairs.
- Comply with Company's Quality Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
- Understand and apply our quality policy statements in all aspects of your work.
- Contribute towards achieving company company objectives
- Ensure that the needs and requirements of company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
- Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
- Comprehensive ability to mix audio for corporate events, conferences, panel discussions, sting awards shows and musical concerts. (A1 Role)
- Experience in mixing broadcast & streamed events, utilizing mix-minus sends and Cedar noise reduction.
- Balancing sound to prevent feedback and system configuration to give perfect audience audio coverage.
- Fitting radiomics and patching stages in high pressure scenarios (A2 Role)
- Good practical knowledge of wide range of audio and equipment, including DiGiCiCo, Yamaha and Allen & Health digital desks, with PA systems including d&b Audiotechnik and Nexo.
- Comprehensive knowledge in the deployment of wireless Microphones & IEM systems and their frequency coordination.
- System design using manufacturer prediction tools, (d&b Array Calc, Nexo NS1)
- System Management and room optimisation - EQ and delay system configurations using Smaart FTT or similar tools. Configuration of d&b R1, Nexo Nemo, Lake Processing or similar.
- A good level of understanding of audio over IP - Dante Level 2 certification an advantage
- Audio editing abilities within a DAW environment such as Protools, Logic, Reaper or similar.
- Playback operational skills in QLab, Playback Pro, Stream Deck + Companion.
- Ability to setup and configure show comms (Reidel Bolero / Performer and Green-Go)
- Strong teamwork, with an ability to work under pressure in a calm and considerate manner
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to research and learn new equipment and problem solve
- Manual Handling/Full Category B Drivers licence desirable
- Avixa Org Event Industry qualification or similar desirable
- Dante Level 2 or above desirable.
- 4 + years working as a technician in a live event environment
