Full details of the services provided by a CHO can be found at http://www.hse.ie/eng/services/publications/corporate/CHOReport.htmlUnder the Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People Programme, Children’s Disability Network Teams are reconfigured so that all children with a disability and developmental delay and their families will have access to services according to their needs and there will be consistency and equity in delivery of services across the country.The Children’s Disability Network Teams are charged with the delivery of an efficient and effective health and personal social service for a designated population in order to achieve targeted health outcomes within the overall Community Health Network.There are 11 HSE CDNTs across Dublin South East. This post will serve to support Dietetic clinical governance and supervision across the 11 teams in association with the Lin Manager (Childrens Disability Network Manager)Purpose of the Post(specific to Interim Principal Psychologist CDNT)NOTE: Implementation of WRC Agreement 260124 on appointment of Interim Discipline Managers into CDNTs: The nationally agreed job specification for this grade is not being changed, however, for this Interim Principal Psychologist, there are specific requirements set out below.The Children’s Disability Network Manager (CDNM) is the Operational Line Manager for the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). The Interim Principal Psychologist will work in collaboration with CDNMs in the Health Region and other Discipline Managers in CDNTS, Primary Care and CAMHS to ensure particular elements as set out in this Job Specification and that emerge as service priorities are progressed.The Interim Principal Psychologist will not have any line management responsibilities for staff members in the CDNTs.The Interim Principal Psychologist in the CDNTs of HSE Dublin South East will be responsible for the delivery and development of a high quality, integrated and effective Psychology service within an interdisciplinary service model.The Interim Principal Psychologist appointment is for 1 year and will be subject to review against set KPIs and Service Priorities as agreed by the Lead Agency as set out below:Clinical Governance1. Clinical Supervision· Allocated staff for Clinical Supervision which match the gaps within each of the Health Regions.2. Enhancing talent acquisition and boosting Disability service visibility· Supporting recruitment, retention and workforce planning· Co-ordinate under graduate student placements across the CDNTs.· Provide clinical leadership for the rollout of Therapy Assistant grades within their area.· Be a representative of the Service in relation to the development of apprenticeship schemes.3. Optimising efficiency, output and outcome
  • Take a lead role in relation to the development and roll out of discipline specific and interdisciplinary clinical pathways
  • Develop tools to capture clinical outcomes for children accessing CDNT services
  • Participate in the Clinical Advisory Group
4. Quality and Safety
  • Contribute to the clinical components of those under complex case management and contribute to a comprehensive review mechanism for children, including those in residential care.
  • Be responsible for input into these reviews to ensure that the service continues to meet the needs of children.
