Assistant Director of Nursing

• Registered Nurse with active registration on the NMBI.
• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience.
• Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care is highly desirable.
• QQI Level 6 in Management or Leadership.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with a focus on team motivation and continuous professional development.

• Ensure the delivery of exceptional nursing and social care tailored to each resident's needs. Oversee clinical standards, conduct assessments, and manage care plans to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Supervise medication administration, conduct audits, and liaise with GPs and pharmacies to ensure compliance with best practices and improve medication management standards.
• Lead and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, providing ongoing training and development. Foster a professional, caring approach among staff to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
• Perform regular clinical, environmental, and medication audits. Develop and implement action plans to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
• Serve as a key contact for residents and families, addressing concerns promptly and supporting a person-centred care approach. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the resident experience.
