
Reserving Models & Projects Analyst

- Participate in ensuring reserving programs are set up in a timely manner for the monthly closing of accounts.
- Develop and test new methodologies for calculating technical reserves.
- Improve existing programs and debug issues with VBA macros.
- Maintain and develop new functionalities in the Data Centralizer for partners.
- Contribute to other key projects and the migration of reserving programs.
- Develop applications for new reserving programs and conduct user acceptance testing.
- Document progress and checks carried out.
- Assist in defining data and reporting requirements for new partners/products/reinsurance treaties.
- Complete monthly controls for audit/governance and participate in regular report running schedules.
- Identify and report data entry errors and contribute to the creation of new controls.
- Develop good relationships with the Data Management Team, IT, Project, Administration & Operations, Finance, and Business Development departments, as well as corporate clients and Third-Party Administrators (TPA).
- Actuarial qualification (part-qualified or qualified).
- 2 or more years of experience in actuarial roles.
- Prior programming experience is necessary.
- Experience with SAS/SQL is preferable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Knowledge of common reserving techniques (e.g., Bornheutter Ferguson, Chain Ladder, Mack Method) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or another European language is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, team player, organized.
