The Radio Network Planning and Optimization engineer is tasked with perform radionetwork planning and optimization activities in a RAN project.
Perform cluster and site coverage planning, include Azimuth, tilt, antenna height.
Perform cell parameter planning, include GSM BCCH, BSIC, UMTS PSC, LTE PCI, PRACH.
Perform drive test abnormal events analysis and provide optimization proposals, include call drops, call setup failures, low throughput, etc.
Perform TOP worst cells analysis and provide optimization proposals to improve the network level, cluster level or cell level KPI
2+ years of experience working as radio planning and optimization engineer;
previous experience of Huawei projects is preferred.
GSM, UMTS or LTE basic principle and signaling analysis
Knowledge of radio network topology.
Knowledge of drive test coverage analysis and signaling.
Bachelor's degree required
Valid driver's license is preferred.
Previous experience working on Ireland/UK wireless projects is a plus.
