Morgan McKinley has partnered with a progressive accounting practice in Cork City to hire a Senior Accountant. Managing Clients on a daily basis in terms of their accounting and financial requirements, you will be part of a team of professionals working to ensure the highest quality of service is provided to all clients.Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.Responsibilities∙ Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded∙ Update accounts receivable and issue invoices∙ Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations∙ Assist in the processing of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines∙ Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned∙ Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when neededThe successful candidate will get to join a dynamic practice who is currently one of the largest mid-tier firms in Munster, will gain extensive experience in all areas of the profession with excellent chances of progression.To be eligible for this role you must:

Be ACA/CPA/ACCA qualified or part qualified
Have a broad range of experience across the areas of accountancy, audit & tax. Experience in consultancy & corporate finance is also preferable although not essential
Be proactive, able to deliver to tight deadlines and within budget
Illustrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Possess good team working skills and be a good team leader
Capable of working on their own initiative and reporting directly to partner level.
Have experience as a team led and or training others
