- Coordinate all aspects of the accommodation program, from recruitment and home visits to planning bus routes and communicating with families on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide face-to-face assistance to students who have queries or questions about their accommodation and act as a liaison between students and accommodation providers as required.
- Research and carry-out print and online advertising, community networking, and grass-roots marketing to attract potential new hosts.
- Match students with host families and carefully monitor the student and host family experience throughout the program.
- Take the school Emergency Phone on a monthly roster.
- Plan, lead and participate in program events, such as host family orientations, host family nights and host family end-of-season gatherings.
- Maintain a strong host family community during the off-season by communicating regularly with families via email, phone, newsletters, and get-togethers.
- Liaise with finance department to ensure prompt and accurate payment to accommodation providers.
- Address a wide range of issues relating to the students and their accommodation on a day-to-day basis and solve problems as they arise.
- Coordinate the smooth running of our student residence accommodation, the placement of students at our student residences & maintain high occupancy levels across our contracted residence options.
- Role will very occasionally require evening & weekend hours.
- Team leadership and experience of staff management,
- Highly organised and resourceful, working to deadlines with a flexible approach,
- Sales / telemarketing experience desirable,
- Ability to work well towards targets & deadlines,
- Excellent telephone skills,
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- An independent problem solver with a positive attitude,
- Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences,
- Knowledge of the local community and social networking is a plus,
