- Be aware of equipment performance and loss and waste within bottling. At all times work to improve equipment reliability, reduce waste and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
- Analyse reliability trends, identify corrective actions to improve performance and implement these.
- Follow problem solving approaches as detailed in the Focused Improvement work practice.
- Review 5 Why’s raised by Operatives and execute agreed action plans.
- Deliver and improve performance targets in safety, quality, service, cost and asset care.
- Carry out routine maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
- Where routine maintenance reveals larger problems that require corrective action, these must be logged for incorporation in the scheduled maintenance plan.
- Carry out electrical compliance, statutory maintenance, and shutdown maintenance.
- Execute project activities in support of engineering capital projects.
- Record maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensuring records are up to date, job durations are correct, and corrective maintenance is captured.
- Identify improvements to PM schedules and work with the Maintenance Team Leader and Planner to implement these.
- Support operational teams in maintenance and cleaning days.
- 3rd Level electrical and/or automation qualification with time served.
- 3-5 years’ experience in medium-high speed packaging environment.
- Extensive knowledge of packaging equipment including PLC’s / SCADA / INDUSTRIAL IT SYSTEMS (Siemens beneficial).
- Experience in lean manufacturing principles and structured problem -solving culture with asset care and equipment reliability
- Asset management experience through a recognised CMMS system
- Basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, budgeting processes.
- Excellent process improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing excellence techniques.
- Computer literate in MS Office and business systems (e.g. SAP, CMMS).
- Strong numerical and verbal reasoning.
- Developed Continuous Improvement mindset, underpinned by a history of ownership of own professional development.
- Be self-aware and driven to deliver beyond expectations
- Ability to positively impact and influence with or without direct line authority.
